Dear Taro,
Since I wrote those lyrics to "I Remember Clifford," they have been recorded by Sarah Vaughn, Dina Washington, and Carmen McCrae, each of whom has sung them in person in countless performances over the years during each of their successful careers, as have many other singers I don't even know the names of. I believe the first one to record it was Sarah Vaughn. I wrote it in the late 1950s.
