Our first concert went very well. We had a fine crowd of forty-some people, big enough to make it clearly worthwhile for our performers, yet small enough that we didn't run out of chairs and space. Jim and Fergus were in fine form. The barn's acoustics turned out to be wonderful -- despite having no sound system, they could easily be heard in the back row. All-in-all, we were very pleased with how it went. With any luck, we will be able to lure these two great musicians back to Ann Arbor next year! |

This concert went quite well. Our simple sound system worked admirably for Jim. Unsurprisingly for election night, the turnout was light, but still enough to make it worthwhile for Jim, I think. It was great to get a chance to hear him play solo, as we'd only ever heard him with the Dogs before. His website lists a US solo tour next fall -- perhaps we can have him sing for us again! |
